If you have a number of missing teeth, then a full or partial denture can restore a natural-looking, confident smile.

This also has additional benefits.

What types of dentures are available?

Dentures are made to match your missing teeth to create a natural look. They can be made from a variety of materials and have different designs.

A denture, also known as a plate, can be made of acrylic or cobalt chrome. Alternatively a partial denture, made of the same materials, has clasps to clip onto your natural teeth to hold it in place. Dentures are designed to look like your own teeth and gums and create a natural look.

Another option is a denture held in place using dental implants. Implant retained dentures are held in place with several dental implants but can easily be removed for cleaning.

How do you look after dentures?

Dentures can break if you drop them, so it is important to take care when cleaning them. It is also important to clean them every day by gentle brushing and placing in a denture-cleaning solution overnight. It is not advised to keep them in overnight unless there is a reason to do so.

How long does it take to prepare dentures?

After an initial appointment for assessment and diagnosis, an impression is taken which is then sent to a dental technician. Several appointments are required thereafter to ensure the bite, appearance and fit of the denture conforms as well as possible to your mouth.

What are the benefits of dentures?

  • A suitable option for multiple missing teeth
  • Restores a natural appearance

Restores the ability to enjoy a healthy, varied diet.

Black triangles are spaces present between the teeth and the gum line which appears as a triangle gap between the teeth.
This unfortunately attracts unwanted attention when an individual is smiling.

After Invisalign, composite bonding was used to correct this patient’s black triangle and improve the appearance of her smile.

SEND US A DM TODAY TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT COMPOSITE BONDING.
